Terms of Use
These terms apply to the Become app for iPhone and this website, made by J Roberto Goulart Filho Tecnologia Ltda ("JRG Tecnologia", "we"), CNPJ 62.592.453/0001-01, Porto Alegre, Brazil. By using Become you agree to them. Your use of the app is also governed by Apple's Standard License Agreement, and these terms add to it.
Subscriptions
Your first lesson is free. The rest of your plan needs a subscription, offered yearly or weekly. Prices are shown in the app before you buy. A welcome price, when offered, applies to the first year only.
- Payment is charged to your Apple ID when you confirm the purchase.
- Subscriptions renew automatically unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the period ends.
- You can manage or cancel your subscription in your Apple ID settings (how).
- Refunds are handled by Apple under its policies, at reportaproblem.apple.com.
Invite Codes
An Invite Code gives the friend who redeems it the welcome price, and gives you a streak freeze, with one redemption per device. Invite Codes have no cash value, can't be sold, and we may end the program at any time.
What Become is, and isn't
Become is a self-reflection and habit practice built on published research. It isn't therapy, or medical, financial or legal advice, and it can't guarantee any outcome. If you're struggling or not safe, call or text 988 in the US, any time, or contact your local emergency number.
Lessons written with AI
When Personalize with AI is on, parts of your lessons (your affirmations, scripts, scenes and daily steps) are generated automatically from what you share in the app. They can be imperfect or wrong, and you should use your own judgment before acting on anything they say.
Your content
What you write in Become belongs to you and stays on your iPhone. See the Privacy Policy for what is sent to write your lessons.
Using Become fairly
Don't misuse Become: don't try to break or overload our services, get around subscriptions or Invite Code limits, or copy, resell or reverse engineer the app. We may suspend access for anyone who does.
Our content
The app, its lessons, illustrations, design and name belong to us or our licensors. You may share what Become creates for you, such as a share card, for personal, non-commercial use.
Changes to Become
We keep improving Become, so features may change, be added or be removed. If we ever stop offering the app, active subscriptions are handled by Apple under its policies.
Liability
Become is provided as it is. To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for decisions you make based on a lesson. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under the consumer protection laws of your country.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Brazil, and disputes go to the courts of Porto Alegre, RS, unless the law of your country gives you the right to bring them where you live.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We'll change the date at the top of this page when we do, and continuing to use Become means you accept the updated terms.
